Ionic Lithium Batteries – Get Out on the Water Longer and Save Energy With Ionic Lithium Batteries

Lithium-ion batteries have become indispensable to many technologies that we rely on today, from laptop computers and cellular phones to electric cars and grid-scale energy storage. Their many advantages over lead-acid batteries include their light weight, high energy density and ease of recharge.

Though solar cells provide many advantages, they also come with some drawbacks – most significantly their sensitivity to heat.

Long-Lasting Power

Lithium batteries offer superior power, longevity, and quicker charging speeds than lead-acid batteries – meaning more time on the water while saving both energy and fuel costs with lithium deep cycle batteries.

Lithium batteries’ long lifespan lies in their design. Their unique chemical reactions distinguish them from other rechargeable batteries and thus they hardly self-discharge at all, meaning lithium cells can retain a charge for months even while stored.

Lithium ions inserted into graphite anodes are stored in a layering structure that allows for minimal disruption between cells – this process, known as intercalation, gives lithium-ion batteries their incredible lifespans.

Lithium batteries offer lower degradation rates than other rechargeable battery technologies when exposed to extreme temperatures, making them the go-to choice for electric vehicles (EVs) and large energy storage applications where capacity must be reliably preserved over time.

Lightweight

Lithium has been described as one of the most revolutionary technologies ever developed – it powers laptop computers, cell phones, electric cars and other battery-powered vehicles worldwide. Lithium ion batteries account for an estimated 80% share of battery-powered vehicle worldwide.

Lithium batteries boast incredible energy density, allowing more power to be packed into smaller spaces than their lead acid counterparts. Plus, lithiums are lighter and can be mounted more conveniently – unlike their lead acid counterparts which must remain upright to be charged, lithium batteries can be placed sideways or backwards on your boat to create more room!

Lithium batteries not only offer weight savings, but their low internal resistance enables consistent power delivery at high currents. Peuker losses are virtually nonexistent allowing lithium batteries to operate at full capacity under demanding conditions compared to lead acid batteries which may experience up to 40% loss under comparable loads.

Lithium marine batteries can also be connected in series to produce higher voltages and increase solar panel collection wattage, but for this to work safely and effectively you need an intelligent BMS that optimizes performance, safety and charge rates – something Ionic lithium deep cycle batteries offer with their intelligent system that maximizes every watt of power from the sun!

Maintenance-Free

Lithium marine batteries offer an easy solution when it comes to monitoring battery health: maintenance-free operation with Ionic cells lasting 2-4x longer than lead-acid. You may recharge these up to 5000 cycles before reaching their lifespan; which equates to around 14 years of extended usage!

Lithium ions can be stored in graphite anodes via intercalation, where they are physically embedded between 2D layers of graphene that make up bulk graphite. This makes the reaction highly reversible.

An electrolyte (a class of organic compounds) is used to transport positively charged lithium ions between anode and cathode of a battery, separated by a separator. When charging occurs, positive ions flow from anode through separator to cathode where positive ions release electrons that travel back through negative current collector and eventually back through negative current collector back towards anode to complete circuit and produce electricity.

Longevity of lithium batteries depends on environmental conditions beyond just cycling alone. Exposure to higher temperatures causes internal resistance to increase, which limits performance and lifespan. Our Ionic batteries come equipped with an inbuilt heater which warms up their battery in order to delay premature degradation.

Bluetooth-Enabled

With intelligent BMS (battery management system) and Bluetooth technology, these batteries can connect instantly with an app for instant status reporting. They will report back their current state of charge as well as internal temperatures; additionally, the app can record any events if their battery becomes overcharged or discharged.

Installing an intelligent and smart battery monitoring app that connects easily with your ionic lithium batteries enables you to instantly check their status from any location around the globe, and gain access to additional advanced data such as cycle history, battery capacity and voltage measurements, plus log of any issues that arise.

The initial page or screen provides basic information of your ionic lithium battery such as its state of charge in a circular graph resembling a fuel gauge, voltage and capacity at the bottom, charging, discharging or standby status, etc.

Our ionic lithium batteries feature cold weather protection to safeguard them in extreme cold conditions – they only accept charging when temperatures rise above -4C or 24F, providing an important safety feature and helping ensure they won’t be damaged during deployment. Perfect for boats, RVs, kayaks and solar setups alike!
